Celebrated for his seamless style blending, some big-name collaborations, and coming through as one of the youngest ever presenters on BBC Asian Radio, DJ SHRAII is still just 25 years of age, and already boasts performances across some of Europe and Asia’s most acclaimed music venues.
DJ SHRAII kicked off his career in 2012, at London’s infamous Ministry of Sound. Achieving resident DJ status early on, he found himself playing to thousands of music fans every single week. Though considered an open-format DJ, SHRAII does bring a few distinct flavours to his set – fusing elements of Urban, RnB, Hip Hop, Trap, Dancehall and Afrobeat’s; along with a touch of Bollywood and Bhangra Beats to pay tribute to his roots.
Thanks to a clear sense of audience awareness, SHRAII is known for reacting to the crowd and offering carefully crafted playlists alongside unwavering good vibes. His fun-loving personality and the dance-floor atmosphere he presents have helped him make an immense impact on the live scene. To date, DJ SHRAII’s global resumé boasts venues including London’s Fabric, Sri Lanka’s RnB Club, Mumbai’s Estella, Prague’s Radost FX, and Kuala Lumpur’s Canopy. The well-traveled DJ also managed to throw in a Law Degree along the way; just one of many unique traits that make his name so memorable.
In addition to live shows, SHRAII’s following has grown extensively thanks to some impressive collaborations. His ever-expanding list already includes Wiz Khalifa, Tyga, T-Pain, The Game, Sean Paul, Jeremih, Kid Ink, Big Shaq, Wiley, Charlie Sloth, Punjabi Mc, Skepta, Tinashe, Wretch 32, Tim Westwood, and Ironik. In between BBC radio work and world-wide club appearances, DJ SHRAII continues to raise the bar – releasing new mixes and Collab’s as often as possible; forever hustling and always showcasing a clear passion for the process. Despite his successes, this is still very much the beginning. Absolutely a name worth looking out for.
